Having previously used Waxler Hospitality Group for Secret Shopper reports, we knew where to go when we were looking for guidance with our in-house reservations team.  Mark and his team brings a layer of professionalism and knowledge that is needed when you want to look from the ‘outside in”.  The information that Mark provided to us through their detailed ‘shop’ calls to the reservations team, allowed us to increase our close rate by 100% from the previous month.  We put together specific incentive programs based on Mark’s research and the team responded with great results.  Although we have utilized other sales training programs, the effectiveness of Mark’s suggestions and recommendations will certainly have us engage in the services of Waxler Hospitality Group again – thanks Mark!

Since my arrival at the Westford Regency Hotel and Conference Center, I have had the pleasure to work with Mr. Mark Waxler on our on-going renovation project. During this time I have found Mark to be of the highest integrity. He has worked closely with me turning my ideas into designs, and those designs into actual products needed for the renovation.
Mark has a vast knowledge of the all aspects of the hospitality industry and a firm grasp of needs vs. wants. His contact network within the supplier side of the industry is diverse, approachable, and cost efficient. His contact network gave me the ability to choose like products from 3 different vendors at 3 or sometimes more price points. Working closely with several different vendors has given the hotel the ability to complete more rooms in less time than previously done.
Thus far on this second phase of renovation we have saved over 34% on our renovation costs. This translate into us being able to purchase 35 rooms of FF&E for the same cost as what we were previously able to purchase 24 rooms. In addition since Mark has brought to the table additional vendors, we are confident that we will be able to save an additional 10%.
In closing, Mark has brought to the project a level of professionalism and cost awareness that was not present until his arrival on the property. I would highly recommend Mark for any and all renovation projects you may be considering.

I would highly recommend Mark Waxler for anyone looking to plan a well organized, affordable and unique event, especially a wedding! As an event planner by training, I knew it was going to be difficult to turn over the reins and trust my vendors when it came to my own wedding. Getting married out of state was even harder. Working with Mark made it incredibly easy. He was always open to hearing my newest (and sometimes craziest) idea. From measuring the risers the venue had on site when we thought about having a 10-piece 80s cover band to ensuring all of our guest's special dietary requests were handled properly to helping us find ways to cut costs without compromising quality on the venue, linens, cake and even party favors (Boston Red Sox ice cream helmets), Mark was always prompt, thorough and up to the challenge on any day and oftentimes any hour. The rehearsal dessert party on the second floor of a hot new venue in town, meaningful ceremony and spectacular reception were exactly what we were hoping to experience on our big day. I have been acquainted with Mark Waxler since 1996 when I became a teacher in the Hospitality Department at Worcester Technical High School. My interaction with Mark became constant when I was appointed Department Head of the Hospitality Department. Along with my promotion our school was going through a major change regarding a move to a new campus including a new restaurant and dining area seating 110 along with a 150 seat conference center.

Mark became an asset of major significance lending a hand as my Chairman of the Hospitality Advisory Board, not only did he attend all of our meeting he hosted many at the Beechwood. This was a time that was extremely important giving us an area to be able to study recomendations and discuss ideas for the changes to come in privacy.

The closer we came to the opening of the new school the more we relized money that did not exist for many items such as new china was a very serious problem. Mark came to our aid by procuring all the china we would need. This was an amazing contribution to our new school. I asked for his help and he came through, we are still eight years later using much of the china he procured for us.

Mark initiated a program that allowed Hospitality and Culinary students to work on specific occasions earning a more than fare hourly wage, plus the extra training in a real world situation.

Mark has assisted Worcester Technical with bookings for clients from all over the world visiting our school with more than fare charges. He has been a boon to our school and myself personally.
